With the boat show looming it is all systems go here at Clipper. The show is one of the countries best and we are looking forward to show casing our 60’ Motoryacht, as well as our ever popular Heritage 40. We were to be showing the Cordova 52, but due to high   demand we have none available to show at this time. We will be situated at Marina Berth D2, and would love to catch up with any   Clipper owners who are at the show.

At this year’s Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, Clipper Motor Yachts Australia will launch its Cordova 60 Motoryacht.

Performance and luxury, form and function come together in perfect harmony aboard the Cordova 60. Inside and out the Cordova 60 impresses, with its timeless style, classic design and luxurious interiors. Designed by a renowned Canadian Marine Architect Trevor Bolt, the Cordova 60 represents the Clipper experience at its finest. With 2 x 660hp diesel Cummins engines, the 60ft Cordova brings long range voyage capabilities to the table and also the ability to make haste to find safe anchorage at 20knts. Some of the main features incorporated in the design of the Clipper Cordova 60’ is full walk around decks, 3 cabins plus crew quarters, large cockpit, fibreglass hard top, hand crafted teak interior and internal stairs to the flybridge, The dynamics of the vessel start with the semi displacement hull with the ability to cruise in comfort and style at 10 to 18 knots, with a very economical fuel rate. Darren Berry, Managing Director of Clipper Motor Yachts Australia is excited and proud to put his name and reputation on this new model. “The Clipper 60 has been four years in the making and I am very happy with all aspects of this boat” Mr Berry stated.

Cordova 48

The Cordova 48 is due for arrival in the next couple of months. Unfortunately we will not get to spend to much time with the vessel as the owners are eager to get her, and who can blame them. The Cordova 48 is complemented by elegant lines and gracious interiors. Walk around decks, a large cockpit and expansive flybridge are all designed with your comfort in mind. You have the option of two or three cabins giving you more than enough room for family and friends. Cruising at speeds of 9 to 18 knots is easily achievable , with the stability and fuel economy the Clipper is well know for.   Maintenance

“Scrub the Decks” - If your boat has a non skid gelcoat a Jiff treatment will make them look like new. Use hard scrubbing brush and a little Jiff with just a touch of water to make a soft slurry. “DO NOT” Jiff the polished gelcoat surfaces or they will have their polish removed and have to be polished again. If your boat is finished in laid teak, then do not use a scrubbing brush. Instead use a 3M    Doodle Bug, just like a kitchen pot scourer, only bigger. The action to use is circular, or across the grain of the wood. Try to avoid scrubbing with the grain. This will allow the teak to be cleaned without raking the grain out of the wood that a brush would do. This can be done in conjunction with “Teak Wonder” (available from Whitworths), it is a two pack system, cleaner and bleach, and it works very well to restore colour to the deck.
