Role and Responsibilities: The whole lot – everything from skippering to cooking steaks at Regatta’s to sales, warranty, parts, ordering, QC in China, you name it – I do it!

How long have you worked in marine? If you count my competing days in waterskiing full-time, then 30 years I have been involved in the industry. I started full-time in smaller boats on the production and dealer development side in America for 12 years including R & D, testing, new product and brand development, customer service and sales for 20 to 25 foot boats. A stint at Riviera after the management buy-out introduced me to larger yachts and then Clipper in 2009.

When I was young I wanted to be….A dolphin trainer at Sea World

Most memorable boating experience? Bringing a fleet of owners into Lady Musgrave Island and also our incredible intimate encounter with three whales at Fraser Island last year on our Clipper Regatta.

Best piece of boating advice given? Preparation is always important before boating, but I truly believe staying calm at any and all times you are in control of a vessel is paramount.

Favourite boat / boat feature and why? I probably favour a sedan-style of boat and my favourite, yet to be built, is the new Hudson Bay 39, I am emotionally connected to “lobster style” sedans the new 39 is “achingly” gorgeous.  However the “killer feature”, without doubt, is our new Hydra-Swim platform we have introduced on the Hudson Bay 50.

Describe yourself in 3 words? Persistent, competitive and humorous (I think?)…

If I could travel to anywhere in the world on my boat where would it be? To cover both brands of boat we represent I would say cruising the Croatian Islands in a Prestige 550S would be amazing or taking a Clipper Cordova 60 to the East Coast of Tassie and reliving all the gorgeous bays and islands I fished and visited with my Dad as a kid.
