Australia’s third largest boat builder, Clipper Motor Yachts will be revealing, not one but two never seen before Hudson Bay semi-displacement yachts at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show (SCIBS).

Making their world debut is the Clipper Hudson Bay 350 and the Hudson Bay 470, both Australian designs with the build and quality control carefully overseen by Clipper’s Managing Director, Brett Thurley at their shipyard located in China.

The Hudson Bay 470 features two cabins, mid-ship master cabin with clever island bed, twin engines, a large cockpit and Volvo joystick 360-degree docking system.

Brett says both the new motor yachts have kept to Clippers traditional, solid, trawler style but with a modernised and luxurious level of style and design.

“The big win on the 470 is the outdoor entertaining area with a huge cockpit and overhead cabin roof coverage, which can be fully enclosed,” says Brett.

“She is a perfect combination of classic lines mixed with modern styling and technology,” he says.

Brett describes the 350 as being ideal for those wanting to step up into an offshore cruising sedan and packs all the features of a luxury yacht, but without the price tag starting from $399,000.

In addition to revealing the two new Hudson Bays, Clipper will also have on show a brand-new Hudson Bay 39 powered by Volvo D6 435 hp, with gloss Mozambique mahogany wood interior. Brett describes the 39 as having a slightly sleeker look than the more traditional Hudson Bay 390.

For those who are wanting something larger again, the Hudson Bay 540 is a show stopper featuring more power, space and luxury taking entertaining to the next level, and for those who prefer something smaller without sacrificing luxury, The Hudson Bay 390 will be on show.

Brett says having five Clippers on display at SCIBS this year, will make it the largest display yet for the Clipper brand at the southern hemisphere’s premier marine event.

“Our passion is building quality boats made with the Australian lifestyle in mind, and we have the world debut of two of our new vessels, making it a very exciting time for us,” he says.
